Pumpkin Fun

We had a ton of fun last night picking out our pumpkins and carving them, and yes you do see Izaiah putting his head in his pumpkin.

Knitting Club

I decided to teach Madie and Hannah how to knit hats - something to keep them busy during half days and this coming winter break, here's Hannah's finished hat.

Congrats Izaiah

It was a big day for Izaiah on Wednesday. This kid has spent the last 5yrs in speech class and he has finally graduated!!!!

Preston's Milestones

My little baby is getting so big, he has mastered the rolling from front to back and back to front, and we have started to try and crawl (boy is that a funny site) yesterday. I put him by the front window went into another room for just a minute came back out and he is behind the rocking chair I couldn't believe my eyes, yes the kid can roll and almost crawl but he can't sit up by him self go figure. Izaiah and Madie had the normal crawl, yes in my book there is a normal crawl we use our feet and hands to move us around. Conner had the army crawl, that's were he just used he arms to move him around, and now with little P he has his own way, it's hard to explain but it's a little of the "normal way" and the army way.

Preston can roll

Boy is my little boy getting so big, he will be 6moths on the 29th and he finally just figured out how to roll from the front to back and he is just loving it.
He is working on sitting up but prefers to be held by anyone and yes that is daddy holding him aren't they cute :) , time sure does fly by.

Good Ol' Fashion Tooth Pulling

Well Conner's front teeth have been loose off and on for awhile now, and while eating his afternoon apple his tooth became even more loose. With the help of dad he was able to get the tooth out all the way!
He was so excited that he put his tooth under his pillow that night for the tooth fairy, well she was a little busy that night and didn't make it boy was he sad. So last night he put it under his pillow again and she made it, it got a whole dollar (the tooth fairy is very generous when she visits our kids).

Conner's Craft Day

Conner is starting to become the little artist, he is painting pictures for everyone and when I say everyone I am even talking about our neighbors (the Nelmes), here he is busy at work today on some more masterpieces.

Dinner Fun

I'm not sure about you but here at the deJong house we always eat dinner as a family at the table. Well on this night we had a little too much fun - it was Preston's first time trying out carrots (boy are they yummy - not), so after that was all said and done the kids wanted to have their pic taken with little P so here are some cute pics of our family dinner.

Fire Station Open House

Today the fire station had their open house today, so with my four kids plus my two nephews you would think I would be loosing my mind by now right..... well all six kids were very good and all on their best behavior.

They all got to dress up as cute firemen and fireladies, they road on the firetruck and got to use the fire hose's as well.

Lazy Morning with Dad

While I am off getting all the big kids to school Russ took some time to bond with stinka and peanut, aren't they cute :)


Stinka has speech today and boy does he love it, he gets to go to the big kid school and he thinks he is so cool. There is another little boy in his class hopefully they will become friends and stink will have new friend to invite over for playdates.
