We have a Monkey!!

Yes we have a monkey and his name is Preston. This little boy sure can climb and fast, today when I ran upstairs to put a toy a way (I was gone for a whole 3sec) Preston managed to climb up the stairs - he almost reached the top by the time I came out of the room. We have to put a permanent gate at the top and bottom of the stairs now, lets hope everyone remembers to close it after going thru it.

Here are some pics that I was able to capture of him climbing random things through out the house.

Farewell Max

It's with a very sad heart the we had to give our dog away a couple of weeks ago. We found Max on craigslist and he seemed to be what we were looking for at the time. As time went on and with me becoming a stay at home mom I noticed that Max was becoming more and more left behind and neglected (just not being played with and loved like he should have been), needless to stay he was becoming very protective over us. With having little P home all the time and watching kids, Max spent most of his time in the garage or out side in the cold rain :(

With many weeks of debate and praying we decided it was time to list him and find him a good home. Well it only took one day on CL and we were able to find him a really nice family to take him and give him all the love and attention that he needed.

The boys took the news really well, but Madison was very heart broken and upset about it for two days. She really loved him and took care of him the most, they even slept together - which I know she misses very much. After explaining to her where he went and the type of people they were she was ok with it.

Farewell to a really great dog, we hope he is enjoying his new family.

St. Patrick's Day!

I know I'm about a week late posting (we have been pretty busy around here lately) about St. Patrick's Day. Well this year I decided I was going to make Corned Beef and Cabbage, I know Russ would love but wasn't sure if the rest of us would, but since my kind husband always caters around my likes and dislikes I thought I would give it a try. Of course being new to this meal I decided to turn to my fav. recipe site www.recipezaar.com and look for a high rated recipe, which I found. I do have to tell you at first I wasn't too excited to make this meal, I've never had it and truly wasn't sure what I was in for. So I followed the direction, put everything in the crock pot and around 7pm it was done. So out on to the serving plate it went, and much to my surprise we all liked it - with that being said I will be making it again next year.
